CES Leeds is located in the very centre of Leeds, in our own beautiful double fronted Georgian building. The school has 10 large classrooms. We have a large students’ room, a computer room/self access centre, and fibre optic internet connection and good Wi-Fi throughout the building. The school is a fully accredited by the British Council. CES Leeds is a member of English UK and International Association of Language Centres (IALC). CES Leeds is also an official IELTS test centre and a CELTA teacher training centre.

Programmes Offered
Standard General English Course
With our Standard General English Course, you get high-quality teaching and real-life local experience. Every weekday morning you’ll take classes from 09:30 - 13:00 in the UK.
Intensive English Course
Our Intensive English Course is designed to help you learn English on an immersive programme that maximises classroom time with continuous focus on improving your overall communicative skills and fluency. In the UK, the lessons are from 09:30 - 13:00, Monday to Friday and 14:00 - 16:30, Tuesdays -Thursdays.
IELTS Preparation Course
For our IELTS Preparation Course you will have General English in the mornings Monday to Friday from 09.30 – 13.00 followed by IELTS preparation classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 14.00 – 16.30. You will focus on the four crucial skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. For the IELTS Test itself, you will get very familiar with the format of the test and will have the opportunity to practise a range of test-taking strategies within given time limits. At the end of each week, you will sit one part of an IELTS exam, under exam conditions. Throughout, you’ll get expert tuition and ongoing feedback from your teachers.

Homestays
You’ll feel very much at home with our homestay option. By living with a local family, you’ll be practicing your English language skills every day in the most natural environment possible – the home. Famous for their friendly natures, the locals of Leeds love to welcome students into their homes and offer a warm homely environment where you become part of a local family and experience a traditional British experience. Our homestay accommodation in Leeds is offered on a full board basis which means you will get the chance to sample a wide variety of English food.

The city of Leeds is a wonderful city of about 600,000 people. Leeds is a city big enough to have everything a city should have, but not too big to have the problems of a big city. Leeds and Yorkshire have plenty of cultural attractions, an excellent public transport infrastructure, and is more affordable and, to my mind, is a more friendly city than alterative destinations in the south of England.
As the largest city in the West Yorkshire region, Leeds has always been one of the most important cities in the North of England with the world-famous University of Leeds attracting students from all over England and beyond since 1904. Today Leeds has the fourth largest student population of any city in England and this young, vibrant population has prompted an explosion in cafes, restaurants and nightclubs leading to Leeds’ reputation as one of the most exciting cities in the United Kingdom.
Surrounded by the Yorkshire Dales – one of the UK’s leading national parks – Leeds offers a vast range of activities for the more adventurous student. Excellent transport links also make it the ideal base from where to explore other famous northern English cities such as Manchester and Liverpool. For those looking to go even further afield at the weekend, London is only two and a half hours away by train and the border to Scotland is within easy reach.
