Since the 1800’s University College Cork (UCC) has been a seat of learning for southern Ireland. One of Ireland’s 4 national universities, UCC has an incredible campus spread out just 15 minutes’ walk from the city centre. Cork has a wonderful international airport and is also easily accessible from Shannon airport and Dublin airport. Excellent university classrooms and lecture areas, super restaurants and modern sports facilities – UCC offers our students the ultimate learning experience.

Programmes Offered
CES Cork’s UCC Junior summer centre offers 15 hours – 20 lessons per week English language classes in mixed nationality classes. Classes are from 09.30 – 12.45 Monday to Friday. Students have all meals in the university campus restaurant. Students have afternoon activities and sports each afternoon Monday to Friday ad full day excursions on Saturdays. Sundays are free to explore the city and surrounding area with their group leaders.

CES Cork use the UCC Victoria Mill accommodation that is all single ensuite rooms with 4-6 bedrooms per apartment. Each apartment has a kitchen fully equipped kitchen. The accommodation is on campus and is a short 4 minute walk to our centre that is based in the Western Gateway building in UCC.

The UCC campus is in Cork city and is a short 15-minute walk to the centre of the city. Dating from the 1800’s the UCC campus is a mix of wonderful historic buildings and modern university lecture areas. The sports area, the Mardyke, is a short 10-minute walk from the campus. Cork is Ireland’s second city and offers a wonderful mix of touristic, cultural and shopping experiences. Cork has a complete bus and train network that also allows the students visit towns such as Kinsale, Cobh and Crosshaven. Cork is also home to some of the best beaches and landscapes in Ireland.

CES can arrange airport transfer from Shannon and Dublin airports at additional costs on request. CES can also arrange additional tours and excursions depending on the groups need and requirements. This programme has grown and grown given the unique environment in which the students live and study as Cork is a very friendly and welcoming city that is wakable.
