Miles Fitton acquires Nelson English Centre

Nelson English Centre, New Zealand is excited to announce its acquisition by Miles Fitton, a seasoned education professional with a deep passion for language learning and international education.

Enhancing the Student Experience

Miles has been CEO of Nelson English Centre for the past 7 years and has held various leadership roles at Nelson English Centre since 2003. Guiding the school through Covid and tough economic times, Miles is the ideal person to continue leading the school into a new era. His vision for the school focuses on enhancing the student experience, expanding course offerings, and strengthening the Centre’s reputation as a premier destination for English language learners from around the world.

“I am thrilled to be taking the helm at Nelson English Centre,” said Miles.

He added, “I believe that as the new owner, and because of my understanding and knowledge of all facets of the business (and more specifically Nelson English Centre), stakeholders can be extremely confident of a seamless changeover with a continued focus on maintaining the high standards of teaching and student care that Nelson English Centre is known for.”

He explained, “The school has a long-standing reputation for excellence, and I’m committed to building on that legacy by introducing innovative teaching methods, expanding student support services, and fostering a welcoming environment where students can thrive both academically and culturally.

Founded in 1995, Nelson English Centre has established itself as a leader in English language education, attracting students from over 40 countries. The school’s central location in Nelson, renowned for its natural beauty and vibrant arts community, provides an ideal environment for immersive language learning.

The current Director of Studies is confident that Miles’s leadership will take Nelson English Centre to new heights. He said: “His experience and vision align perfectly with our mission to deliver outstanding language education in a supportive and inspiring environment.”
