Expanish Expands to Costa Rica

Expanish are excited to announce two new Costa Rica programmes in La Fortuna and Sámara in 2026.

Adult Spanish Programmes (18+) – Sámara

The new Adult Spanish Programmes (18+) in Sámara offer a “Pura Vida” immersion on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, with three intakes in 2026, with start dates from May to June, July, August, October and November. Courses range from one to six weeks and are delivered in small groups of no more than 8 students.

Students can choose from three programme options: Intensive Spanish, Spanish & Surf, or Spanish & Yoga.

A range of accommodation options is available, including homestays, hotels, and studio apartments.

Junior Summer Camp: Spanish & Sustainability (12–17) – La Fortuna

For younger learners, Expanish introduces a Summer Camp for ages 12–17, in La Fortuna. This boutique immersion camp combines Spanish language instruction with hands-on sustainability workshops and guided rainforest excursions.

The programme runs in July, with weekly start dates, and includes full-board accommodation in eco-lodging surrounded by tropical gardens and mountain views.

Each week, students take part in three hands-on sustainability workshops that connect them with Costa Rica’s ecological values through real-world learning. Activities include sustainable farming and cooking, eco-education and community initiatives at a local primary school, and exploring the community’s journey toward Costa Rica’s Blue Flag award.
