Founded in 1877, St George’s Ascot is a boarding and day school in central Ascot, a pretty English town in beautiful Berkshire, 6 miles from Windsor and just 30 minutes from London, famous for its world-class racecourse. Former pupils include Winston Churchill and Princess Beatrice.

Programmes offered

Multi-activity Programme (age group 10-17): this programme is ideal for students who want to learn English and enjoy an interesting and varied social programme, including visits to popular cultural attractions, sports and tournaments, dance, music, drama and arts & crafts.

Intensive Course (age group 14-17): The Intensive Course is designed for learners who wish to improve their fluency. It offers students the opportunity to concentrate on their conversation and speaking skills. A full programme of activities is also offered.

Accommodation

Students will stay in one of four boarding houses:
- Markham House contains 2, 3 and 4 bedded rooms with two larger rooms of 8 beds
- Knatchbull House contains 2, 3 and 4 bedded rooms
- Old Loveday and New Loveday contain all single rooms

All boarding houses have large, comfortable common rooms with televisions and DVD players. These cosy rooms give students an opportunity to relax during their free time and are perfect for students to get together and make new friends.
Entrance to the boarding houses is by secure key codes and each room has a lockable wardrobe space.

Local area

The County of Berkshire is a particularly beautiful area of the United Kingdom. As well as the many miles of country park owned by the Windsor Estate, Ascot is adjacent to Bracknell Forest, the stunning lakeside area of Virginia Water and the River Thames.
St George’s is positioned in a beautiful location, with a stunning, panoramic view of Swinley Forest to the south. Emerald students will enjoy exclusive use of all facilities and the full benefit of the 30 acres of uninterrupted greenspace owned by the school.

The school is a 15 minute walk from Ascot train station, 6 miles from Windsor and just 30 minutes from central London.
