GLS organises immersive summer camps designed especially for younger learners. These programmes combine high-quality German lessons with a rich programme of fun, cultural, and outdoor activities in and around Berlin. With options for students aged 12 to 19, GLS summer camps offer the perfect blend of learning and exploration. From canoeing and climbing by the lake to guided tours of Berlin’s historic landmarks, every day is an opportunity to practise German in real-life settings — while making friends from around the world.

Programmes Offered

German & Urban Arts for Teens @ Berlin College

Ages: 16–18 | Location: Central Berlin – Cool, Creative, Trendy Experience Berlin’s vibrant culture while learning German in the heart of the city. At this camp, classes take place in the afternoon, leaving mornings and evenings for guided sightseeing and hands-on workshops. Teens explore Berlin’s urban arts scene through creative activities like street art tours, graffiti, and photography projects — all while practising German in real-life settings.

Creative Camp @ Berlin Villa

Ages: 16–17 | Setting: Stylish villa in a green Berlin neighbourhood This intimate summer camp blends morning German lessons with inspiring artistic workshops in the afternoon — think painting, songwriting, graffiti, and more. Afternoons and weekends are packed with fun and culture: explore Berlin’s lakes, museums, and landmarks like the Berlin Wall Memorial, or enjoy full-day trips to places like Potsdam. Sports and social activities round out the programme, making it the perfect mix of creativity, language, and discovery.

Berlin Westend Summer School

Ages: 14–17 | Setting: Campus-style school in Berlin Westend Live and learn on a high-quality school campus just 20 minutes from central Berlin. You can choose between 4 or 5 German lessons per day, then spend your afternoons exploring the city or taking part in exciting on-campus activities. The comfortable twin rooms with ensuite bathrooms and the warm international atmosphere make it easy to feel at home and make new friends.

Berlin Splash Summer Camp

Ages: 12–16 | Setting: Lakefront campus in Blossin Just 30 km from Berlin, this unique summer camp sits right on the shore of a beautiful lake. After morning German lessons, afternoons are packed with water sports like canoeing, paddleboarding, swimming, and climbing. Evenings bring lakeside barbecues and beach parties! With two weekly trips into Berlin, you’ll also get to explore the capital’s top sights.

The location of the campus is perfect for exploring the city and getting the full berlin experience. The freedom that gls provides us in terms of free time — such as the flexibility of the schedule and the ability to make our own choices — allows everyone to experience the ‘Berlin experience’ they are looking for. The campus being really accessible through public transportation makes it all even better.

I really enjoyed GLS. I liked the lessons with Petra, she taught us a lot of new vocabulary, and the atmosphere was always really good.

Accommodation and teachers were great. Classes were great, teachers great, accommodation excellent and great atmosphere, loved the independence. Dani my teacher was really nice and cool and sabine was really good too.

Great summer camp. Everything was amazing, lessons and other activities were fun.
