Our boutique Spanish immersion summer camp welcomes international students to beautiful Barcelona. This sunny Mediterranean metropolis in northeast Spain delights visitors with its friendly people, vibrant culture, and artistic atmosphere.

With small Spanish classes, engaging cultural activities, and essential life skills workshops, our teenage students enjoy the perfect blend of education and adventure. Students will come away empowered with better language skills, deeper cultural awareness, new friends from around the world, and memories to last a lifetime.

Programmes Offered

Expanish Barcelona offers two immersive summer programs designed for younger learners in a dynamic, international setting.

The Spanish Summer Camp is ideal for students aged 13–17 seeking a safe, engaging, and enriching summer experience. The program includes 20 Spanish lessons per week, taught by native-speaking teachers, alongside 3 life skills workshops, cultural activities, and weekend excursions. Students can enroll for 1 to 4 weeks, choosing between overnight or day camp. Overnight campers stay in a modern, fully staffed student residence just 15 minutes from the city center, while enjoying a full board and 24/7 supervision. All activities are carefully designed to encourage language learning, personal growth, and cultural immersion.

The Young Adults Programme, for learners aged 16–20, is a more independent yet structured experience. It includes 20 Spanish lessons per week with added group project sessions and Spanish in Action activities, allowing students to apply their Spanish in real-life Barcelona contexts. Weekly life skills workshops and four cultural/social activities ensure a well-rounded learning journey. Students stay in either a homestay (mandatory for those under 18) or a student residence, and receive 24/7 support via our emergency helpline.

Overnight campers stay in double rooms at International Residence Agora, a well-equipped dormitory adjacent to the lush Collserola Natural Park and near the University of Barcelona campus. It’s located just 15 minutes from central Barcelona.

The residence is staffed 24 hours a day to guarantee students’ comfort and safety.

Young adults

The overnight program has two housing options: homestay and student residence.
For a more immersive experience, live with a local family and practice your Spanish daily. Breakfast and dinner included.

The residence is the Yugo Garbí. Enjoy a comfortable and modern living space with breakfast and dinner included. *Only available for students aged 18 and over.

Barcelona is a vibrant Mediterranean city known for its stunning architecture, beach lifestyle, and welcoming atmosphere. From the modernist masterpieces of Gaudí to bustling food markets and sunny plazas, the city offers endless opportunities to explore Spanish culture beyond the classroom.

Students in the Young Adults Programme attend classes at the Expanish school in the elegant Eixample district, a safe and central neighborhood filled with cafés, shops, and cultural landmarks like La Sagrada Familia and Passeig de Gràcia.

Meanwhile, Teen Summer Camp students live and study at a modern residence located near the University of Barcelona campus and Collserola Natural Park. This peaceful, green area provides a perfect environment for learning and recreation, with 24/7 supervision and easy access to the city center.

Both locations offer students the chance to experience the best of Barcelona’s culture, history, and lifestyle in a safe and dynamic international setting.

One of the unique aspects of the Young Adults Programme in Barcelona is that participants attend regular Spanish classes at our main Expanish school, alongside international students of all ages enrolled in our year-round programs. This integration offers a more authentic and mature learning environment, helping young adults gain confidence, motivation, and cultural insight.

The mix of global classmates creates a vibrant, multicultural atmosphere that goes beyond a traditional summer course. Students benefit from small group sizes, personalized instruction, and the dynamic setting of a boutique language school located in the heart of the city.

This structure bridges the gap between teen-focused camps and fully independent adult programs, making it ideal for learners aged 16 to 20 who are ready for more independence but still appreciate guidance and structure.
