Expanish is located in the neighborhood of Eixample in Barcelona, just one block from the nearest subway stop and one block from the famous Casa Batlló building. The area is full of incredible restaurants and within walking distance of Sagrada Familia and a short ride to the beach. Our school is housed in an historical building that has been completely remodelled in 2024. Some details about our facilities:

Programmes Offered

Expanish Barcelona offers a variety of Spanish language programmes designed for international students of all ages and goals. Students can choose between 20, 24 or 30 group lessons per week, or combine group classes with private lessons for a more personalized experience

General Spanish

All programmes include a mix of General Spanish, project-based learning, and practical modules such as Spanish in Action (classroom-based real-life skills) and Spanish in the City (guided cultural activities around Barcelona led by teachers), allowing students to learn both inside and outside the classroom.

30+ programme

We also offer a dedicated 30+ programme, grouping students aged 30 and above in classes with peers of similar age and interests.

Courses are available year-round with flexible start dates and durations, and are taught by certified native-speaking teachers in a modern, centrally located school.

Expanish Barcelona offers a variety of carefully selected accommodation options to suit different preferences and lifestyles. All housing is located in safe neighborhoods and well connected to public transport, within 20–40 minutes of the school.

Homestay
Our homestay option is ideal for students who want to fully immerse themselves in Spanish language and culture by living with local hosts. It includes a private room, shared or private bathroom, and half-board (breakfast and dinner).

Shared Apartment/Residence
For more independent living, students can choose between a shared apartment with other international students or a student residence. Both offer private rooms, access to kitchen facilities, and the chance to connect with peers from around the world.

Private lessons can also be arranged for those who want more targeted preparation. My main purpose was to try this out and get help in using the vocabulary I have already gained in my junior college studies. The placement program placed me perfectly, in accordance with where I wanted to be, limited new vocabulary but continuously practicing talking and using my vocabulary. Understood the teacher and all staff perfectly (they were all very helpful).

I was there as a teacher with a school class (18 children between 14 and 16 years old) from Germany. We had a great time, the Spanish courses were excellent and the additional activities were also superbly organised. Also thanks a lot to the guest families! Our kids felt very comfortable. We will definitely be back!
