Core programs include the Intensive 20 or 24 (20/24 group lessons per week) and the Intensive 30, which adds 10 extra academic support and conversation lessons weekly. These classes focus on communication, grammar, and cultural fluency in a relaxed and professional atmosphere.

For students seeking faster progress or personalized support, Combined Courses offer 4 or 10 private lessons in addition to group classes. I attended a 20-hour intensive course for a week at Expanish and was very enthusiastic. Since I already had some basic knowledge, I was assigned to a suitable group after a short placement test. There were seven of us, which was a very comfortable group size. The daily four hours were very entertaining. I learned a lot, and the teacher repeatedly “forced” us to speak. A lot of emphasis was placed on speaking Spanish at all times. I also liked the distinction between age groups – there is a school for those under 30 and one for those over 30.

The teachers and location were great. I thought it was great that there were a campus for people over 30.

Great language school with very friendly staff. I took a 30-hour Expanish intensive course for two weeks and had two additional private lessons in the second week. Since I had some basic knowledge from school, this was the perfect way for me to refresh it and, above all, practice conversations. The fact that the courses were divided according to age was very helpful for the learning atmosphere. A nice addition was that from Monday to Thursday there were activities organized by the language school that the language students could take part in free of charge: walking tours through certain barrios, other guided tours (e.g. through an old prison) or other language-related courses. The staff I had contact with were always super nice and helpful. I’d love to come back!

Expanish was one of the best decisions I made when I moved to Barcelona. The school utilizes a very good curriculum (the Aula series) but enhances it with excellent teachers and a good methodology for learning Spanish. The school also offers a lot of extracurricular activities as well as a variety of schedules for all types of students at all ages. I highly recommend Expanish as the center of institutional language learning.

One of the best experiences of my entire life. I spent three months in the Expanish school in Barcelona and I took both morning and afternoon conversation classes (in the afternoon just for 4 weeks). I learned a lot. I got the certificate with a very good level of language and now I am able to understand and maintain a conversation. The classes were really useful, interesting and at the same time fun. I made a lot of new friends with the other people of the school and I had a great time with all the teachers. The building is in a really nice and convenient location and the rooms are comfortable and modern. Everything was perfect!
