Treffpunkt Bamberg Launches New Erasmus+ Teacher Training Course

IALC-accredited school Sprachinstitut TREFFPUNKT in Bamberg, Germany is delighted to announce their new one-week professional development programme for non-native teachers of German.

The Erasmus+ Teacher Training Course is designed to strengthen both German language skills and teaching methodology for teachers with a minimum German language level of B2.

Students will combine General German lessons in international mini-groups of no more than 10 students with dedicated afternoon teacher training sessions focusing on methodology and practical classroom techniques.

Throughout the week, they will experience communicative language teaching from a learner’s perspective while reflecting on their own teaching practice. The course aims to provide practical ideas and approaches that participants can immediately apply in their own classrooms.

Located in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bamberg, Treffpunkt offers a welcoming, international learning environment with small groups, experienced teachers and an engaging cultural program.

The first confirmed course will take place from 26–30 October 2026.

The programme includes:

  • 20 lessons of General German in an international mini-group (maximum 10 participants)
  • Five lessons of teacher training methodology
  • Placement test
  • Course materials
  • Erasmus+ documentation
  • Certificate of attendance
  • Cultural programme (travel and entrance fees not included)

Pricing

The course fee is €685.

Accommodation is available with carefully selected host families. Prices start at €254 for a single room with breakfast, with an optional half-board upgrade available for €324.
