The Wimbledon School of English has expanded its English Study Camps (ESC) with a new junior summer centre in London.
The residential camp will be based at Epsom College, one of the UK’s top-ranked independent boarding schools.
Set in a beautiful 29-hectare campus and only 30 minutes from central London, the centre will offer an exciting combined study and excursion programme and includes two new courses: Future Changemakers and Tennis Academy.
Paul Greaves, Director of Young Learners at ESC, said:
“We are really excited to be able to offer such a beautiful campus so close to Wimbledon and central London, enabling us to take students into London several times per week. The facilities are amazing, and with 33 tennis courts, what better place to launch our Tennis Academy which follows a similar model to our super-successful Football Academy! After all, our main school, WSE, is just down the road from the All England Lawn Tennis Club, home of one of the top tennis championships in the world, so tennis seemed the obvious choice for our second sports academy and once we had found Epsom College, so close to London with such great facilities, we knew it was the perfect place.”
Epsom College was named UK Independent School of the Year 2022–23 and has state-of-the-art buildings and facilities including a large lecture theatre, Olympic-quality astro turf pitches, a 25-metre swimming pool, and recently refurbished boarding houses.
Established in 1964, Wimbledon School of English has been running junior programmes since July 2016 and re-branded their juniors division as English Study Camps in 2023.
