IALC 2025 Auckland Workshop

The IALC Workshop in Auckland was truly worth the wait! We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the schools, agents, and exhibitors who made the journey to this special corner of the world.

This intimate gathering of the very best language schools and study travel professionals saw over 1,000 pre-scheduled meetings, along with countless opportunities to connect, collaborate, and celebrate — both during the day and over spectacular dinners with world-famous wines, and even a lesson in performing the Māori Haka!

As always, the IALC Workshop was more than just business appointments and evening networking — it was about reuniting old friends and forging new relationships in a truly unforgettable setting. Each IALC Workshop offers a unique glimpse into the spirit of the host city, and Auckland delivered with warmth, flavour, and unforgettable views.

A special thank you goes to Languages International for being such generous and professional hosts.

Take a moment to watch the video and scroll through our official photo gallery to relive the magic!

Fam Trip 1 to Nelson, New Zealand

After 3 busy days at the IALC workshop, new Nelson English Centre owner Miles Fitton took a truly international group of agents on a relaxed tour of New Zealand’s natural beauty.

They were welcomed by one of Nelson English Centre’s host families for a dinner in their house. With students serving food, it was a great introduction to true New Zealand hospitality.

The next day began early with a cruise around Split Apple Rock on the Abel Tasman Waka tour — also featured in the new Minecraft Aotearoa game — offering visitors a perfect glimpse of the park’s beauty and adventure. Agents enjoyed lunch overlooking the beach at Kaiteriteri and then a short walk up to the Riwaka resurgence where the Riwaka river comes rushing out of the side of a mountain surrounded by ancient NZ forest.

In the evening, the agents enjoyed a harbour dinner cruise aboard the Abel Tasman sailing boat — the same boat used for overnight trips by Nelson English Centre students.

The final day was spent with a walking tour around Nelson, up to the Centre of New Zealand and then a tour of the school and lunch with the students at the famous NEC International food day – here students had made food from their home countries to share with each other and our agents.

Agents were then free to join in some English lessons as well as some of the free activities that we organise for students like painting and ukulele lessons.

A final dinner overlooking the sea at Nahm, a Thai fusion restaurant that employs NEC students in a beautiful location on the waterfront.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share this slice of paradise with quality agents from around the world, creating connections that will likely last a lifetime.
