Dante Alighieri Siena - Learning Italy, employs a continuous enrolment system, enabling students to begin their courses every Monday. Our dedicated teachers, all native speakers, hold university degrees and have undergone specialized training in teaching Italian as a second language. The educational approach aligns with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, featuring six levels, each further divided into two sub-levels. This ensures a more homogeneous level of knowledge among participants, while the small size of our classes (maximum 12 students) guarantees a high degree of personal attention.

Located in the enchanting heart of Tuscany, nestled between the Chianti region and the Val d'Orcia, Siena emerges as a jewel of Italian artistry. Its magnificent Cathedral, located in a setting of perfectly preserved medieval architecture, attracts millions of visitors into a world infused with history. The renowned Piazza del Campo, where the Palio horse race unfolds, has been a centre of excitement for almost four centuries.
Siena, with its 70,000 residents, emanates a cozy yet dynamic vibe, also thanks to the international atmosphere conveyed by the 780-year-old university, which serves as the cultural heart of the community. The city's safety and its walkable streets invite exploration, while numerous museums showcase impressive collections. Siena's province proudly boasts four UNESCO sites, contributing to the richness of this enchanting territory.
Strategically positioned for exploration, Siena is a gateway to Tuscany and beyond. Only an hour from Florence, two from Pisa, two and a half from Rome, and four from Milan, it serves as an ideal base for discovering the diverse wonders of Italy. Immerse yourself in Siena's timeless allure, where every corner tells a story and every step reveals the beauty of this historic city.
Dante Alighieri Siena is an accredited centre for the administration of the P.L.I.D.A. certification of knowledge of Italian language issued by Società Dante Alighieri. The certification is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education and can therefore exempt from the Italian language test needed to access Italian universities.
In the two-weeks prior to the exam sessions the school organizes specific preparatory courses to refine the students' preparation.
Our mission is to foster a learning environment in which all students feel safe, welcome, and cared for, so as to provide the best learning experience.
The school's facility is large, equipped with an in-house professional kitchen where our chefs hold their cooking classes, and thanks to its dominant position overseeing the surrounding countryside, it gifts us and our students with postcard-like views.
