Melton College is a campus school close to the centre of the historic city of York, one of Europe’s top tourist destinations! The school has 10 classrooms equipped with interractive TVs, a cafe and a large garden. Melton Guest House, the building next door, has 11 rooms, mainly set up for family use. Melton College specialises in family courses with junior programmes for those aged 8-19 and older adult programmes for those aged 40+. During the school year, we also welcome ministay groups.

Homestay We select and manage our own homestay hosts. These are based around the city and offer twin rooms for juniors and single rooms for adults. Guesthouse We run Melton Guest House, a lovely boutique hotel with 11 mainly family rooms, set in the same campus as the College.

York, one of Europe’s top tourist destinations has a very English feel and is noted for the warmth of its welcome. The city draws visitors from all over the world but mainly from English speaking counties.Famous for 2000 years of history, York has buildings from the Romans, Saxons, Vikings, Normans and through to the modern era. York Minster, the biggest medieval Gothic Cathedral in Northern Europe dominated the City, but don’t miss the innovative Jorvik Viking Centre, the famous Castle Museum or the National Railway Museum.York has excellent shopping, amazing food and drink and lots of festivals including the Food festival, the Chocolate Festival (a favourite with our juniors!) and the Ice Trail.York is safe, good value and easy to reach from London (just two hours on the train. York is 90 minutes from Manchester Airport. Melton College is in a Victorian area, just outside the City Walls, well served by Public Transport.

We are an exam centre for IELTS, both paper and computer based.
