Held in the Summer, Winter and Spring, the programme includes General English lessons each morning using IH Bristol’s engaging, in-house materials, focusing on speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary. In the afternoons, students take part in exciting Creative Classes such as Photography, Football, Video-Making, and Drama, where they practise English in real-life, creative contexts while building confidence and teamwork skills. The programme also includes a full social activity schedule on selected afternoons and evenings, plus full-day Saturday trips to top UK destinations such as London, Oxford, and Bath—a great opportunity to explore British culture and make international friends. Courses take place in a safe and friendly environment, with support from our experienced team and optional host family accommodation for a full cultural experience.

Contact

Contact School

Most of our students stay in homestay accommodation with a British host to experience UK culture first-hand. All our hosts will: include you like you are family; show you how to get to school on the first morning; provide a well-lit space for you to work in and somewhere for you to put your clothes; never host more than four students at a time; not host students who speak the same first language, unless by prior arrangement.Students on the junior course will have: a room, which may be shared with another student; breakfast and dinner provided by the host every day, as well as lunches on the weekend; lunches provided by the school on weekdays; a bus pass and map to school. Students on the adult course (including some 16-17 year olds) will have a private room; breakfast and dinner provided by the host or self-catering if chosen.

Testimonials

If I were Google, I’d tag IH Bristol as a “Haven for Learning English, Building Lifelong Friendships, and Unleashing the Potential to Completely Transform Lives.” It’s not just about education; it’s about a perfect place where every student finds joy, belonging, and the power to redefine their future.
International house Bristol is a lovely school with awesome teachers and students. The time we spent there really met our expectations. We had the chance to meet people from all around the world and have interesting conversations with them. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and felt comfortable immediately. Every day the school organized a social activity Event for all the students. This gave us for example the opportunity to visit Cardiff for a day. The teachers were flexible about the content of the lessons and always took our wishes into consideration. On the whole we were really pleased about our stay at International house Bristol and were sad that we already had to leave after two weeks.
Thank you, IH Bristol, for everything! I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to improve their English quickly and effectively while having a great time.
