Preparatory Course for University in Florence

Linguaviva Florence offers an excellent selection of accommodation to meet your needs. All accommodation is at a maximum distance of 15 minutes by bus. All accommodation used by Linguaviva in Florence has been inspected by a school accommodation officer and is of good quality.

You may choose from different options: Homestay, Shared Flat, Independent Flat, Hotel Apartment, Hotel. Accommodation is available from the Sunday before the beginning of the course through to the Saturday after the course ends.

  • Florence, might seem like an open-air museum to most visitors. We suggest visiting one or two museums out of 72 museums full of masterpieces. There you will find the paintings, sculptures and frescoes imagined and created by the greatest minds of all time.
  • In Florence while there are many grand gourmet restaurants, you can still eat simple, hearty local dishes at extremely reasonable prices. From classic trattorias to market stalls, Florence is one of the best places to enjoy simple, delicious Tuscan food.
  • Florence is a great shopping destination for both shops and beautiful markets. Florence means one thing: style. Italian Opera was born in Florence over 400 years ago. Its musical tradition continues and music lovers wil enjoy performances of various kind: opera, classical music and the latest music trends.

Exams

  • Individual Preparatory Course for CILS Exam in Florence, 10 Lessons per week Linguaviva, being accredited by the Università per Stranieri di Siena as examination centre for the CILS certification, organizes throughout the year one-to-one preparatory courses.
  • The individual course will allow you to focus on strengthening your knowledge, understand the areas you need to work on the most and will prepare you to pass the exam successfully. CILS Certification at B1/B2 level is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education and can grant acceptance in any Italian University or higher education institution in Italy.
  • Holders of a B1/B2 CILS certification are exempted from taking the Italian language test which is mandatory for Academic studies in Italy.

More Features

  • During your stay in Florence you will have the possibility to experience the social and cultural life through a programme of cultural and leisure activities organized by Linguaviva. The programme allows you to practise your Italian, to broaden your knowledge of Italian culture and to enjoy yourself with your new friends. It is run with a team of teachers who will always be with you to help you improve your Italian and better understand the Italian way of life. At the beginning of every course you will be presented with the final programme, including detailed information about each activity. We are sure that we will spend a memorable time together!
  • Full day excursions to famous Italian cities and to most renowned sites are organized during the weekends, usually on Saturday. Half day excursions to places of interest close to Florence and to wine producing farm are organized during the week in the afternoon. Siena and San Gimignano, Pisa, Roma, Venice, Verona, 5 Terre (seaside), Chianti (visit to a winery).
  • These are guided visits to the most important museums and galleries: Duomo, Accademia Gallery, Uffizi Gallery, Bargello, Santa Croce, Santa Maria Novella, The Medici Villas. There will be always a member of Linguaviva staff with you.
  • Various aspects of contemporary Italian culture and society are presented: Italian Songs, Italian Fashion, Italian Cuisine, Italian Wines, Italian Gestures, Italian Art, Italian Opera.

The international environment at Linguaviva is very diverse and exciting. Everybody, from teachers and the staff to other students were very helpful and friendly. Living in Florence is a wonderful experience for those who love art, history, culture and great food!

I loved studying at Linguaviva, the staff was very helpful, the location of the school was nice and very close to many attractions, and there are many levels of Italian classes o you can learn at your pace.The school also organize many activities after lesson or in the week end so there is always something interesting and funny to do.
