Programmes Offered
General Portuguese
Small Groups (8 students max) with 20 lessons/week. All 6 levels offered year round, beginners welcome every 2 weeks. Individual lessons tailored to your needs, professional or academic.
Combination Courses with Group and One to One Lessons
CIAL follows the Action-Oriented Approach (AOA) which is a dynamic and progressive vision of language education that places emphasis on the active and practical use of language in real-life situations.

Shared Apartment
CIAL’s apartment is exclusively for our students, located across the street from the school, with single or shared rooms and comfortable common areas, WCs, kitchen and garden. Linen change and weekly cleaning included.
Homestay
In the homestay, students live with a local host, in single rooms, with shared WC and common areas. Breakfast is included. Most homestays are walking distance to the school, or a short bus ride away.

Located in the heart of Faro, near the Municipal Market, just a short walk away from the historical centre, CIAL occupies a typical Algarve villa, with a garden and terrace.
Faro is a small city, very safe, and students can walk to parks, cafés, restaurants, shops and the waterfront. The Marina is a popular spot to watch the sunset in the Atlantic. The Ria Formosa wetland natural park is a must for nature lovers.
The Algarve famous beaches and golf courses are 30/40 minutes away by bus or ferry boat.
In CIAL, students of all ages and countries of origin feel welcome, learning in small groups supported by friendly staff.
Exams
Preparation for the official CAPLE exams available. This preparation is done in individual lessons, with real life exam papers so
students get familiar with the exam structure and timings. Preparation can be done in combination with General Portuguese group
courses.
