VanWest College ensures safe, comfortable and friendly host families. Our homestay families have worked with us for many years. Homestays are a wonderful way to experience Canadian culture and learn about the surrounding area while being part of a Canadian family. All of VanWest College’s host families have passed a criminal record check and are carefully selected by the homestay coordinator. We regularly monitor and evaluate the host families to ensure the safety of each student. Surrounded by local Canadians, pick up everyday vocabulary and speak like a native in a homestay.

VanExpress IELTS Preparation (VIP)
Whether it is to get a better job or to enter university programmes, the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) courses at VanWest prepare ambitious students for success. The courses will train you in all aspects of the IELTS test, improving your scores and building language proficiency. IELTS training and weekly practice tests will boost your confidence, while developing the structures, functions and vocabulary to help you get the band score you need. Location: Vancouver. Start dates: Every Monday. (If Monday is a holiday, Tuesday is the start date.) Length: Minimum 4 weeks class: 30 Lessons per week. Capacity: 12 Students.
Cambridge B2 First Exam Preparation (FCE)
Location: Vancouver. Start Dates: Every Monday (If Monday is a holiday, Tuesday is the start date.) Length: 8 weeks English. Requirement: Completion of VanWest Level 6 (CEFR: B1+). This course helps intermediate to upper-intermediate learners prepare for the Cambridge B2 First (FCE) Exam. It covers all exam sections, emphasizes grammar and vocabulary, and includes mock exams and workshops for personalized feedback and support. RECOMMENDED FOR intermediate to upper-intermediate English learners preparing for the Cambridge B2 First (FCE) Exam.
