That’s Mandarin Chengdu

I joined “That’s Mandarin” in Chengdu as a complete beginner and took their intensive 4-week course. Honestly, it was one of the best learning experiences I’ve ever had. The teaching system is really well thought out — they combine modern online tools with traditional methods, so I always felt supported and could see my progress week by week. What I loved most was the community. The teachers go far beyond just delivering lessons. They invited us to lunch almost every day, encouraged us to practice during breaks, and constantly pushed us to use the language in real conversations. It made learning feel so much more natural.

I think the teaching method is really efficient and the teachers are well prepared. The school environment is new, modern, clean and well equipped. I really like the atmosphere there. They organise events as well. I attended different schools in Chengdu and I need to say that the That’s Mandarin School quality is really high. All the teachers are really lovely, they always welcome you and have time for some chats – so that our Chinese can improve. Great school, great people 🙂

One of the best experiences in China-Chengdu is having the opportunity to be in the Mandarin School. Learn some grammatical rules in mandarin to improve my language skills, join the friendly school’s staff to participate in cultural activities like The Wine Market Event and other activities, made me grateful.

I followed That’s Mandarin’s intensive program for 1 month and the progress I’ve made in Chinese is incredible. The content is really professional and comprehensive, and the teachers are extremely patient and kind! Overall everyone was really helpful and nice while I was there. I have joined a few activities with Thats Mandarin Chinese School. These have been Mahjong and a wine tasting event. Both events were really well organised and professional. We had a brief introduction to the activities and learnt some useful Chinese phrases. All the staff are warm and welcoming and I would highly recommend this Chinese School to anyone thinking of signing up for classes or events.

I spent 3 weeks learning Mandarin here in August. I had a positive experience with the course coordination, teaching quality, the team and my classmates. I want to highlight that That’s Mandarin is more than just a school. Whenever I had questions or issues the team was happy to help me, we would go to lunch together nearly everyday. By the end of week 3 I was saying goodbye to my friends rather than simply schoolmates/teachers.

That’s Mandarin Chengdu is such a great school. First and foremost the teachers were very impressive, tailoring the lessons to my needs and interests, going off on fascinating tangents yet still working through the plan to maintain structure. It’s amazing how easily everything they explained and the vocab we did just stuck in my head. Usually it takes a lot of effort. The classrooms and interior design are cool, their high tech set up makes learning easier and more pleasurable, and everyone’s willingness to go the extra yard to make your time spent their productive and enjoyable was really outstanding. Such thorough professionalism combined with genuine love for what they do was a pleasure to behold!
