PACE Language Institute is Ireland’s only English school specialising exclusively in mini-stays and junior summer programmes. A second-generation, family-run school, PACE is proud to offer each student the warmest of Irish welcomes.
Our convenient location in the friendly seaside town of Bray offers the best of both worlds: the bustle of Dublin city centre within easy commuting distance and the stunning scenery of the ‘Garden of Ireland’ on our doorstep.
With a strong focus on developing real-world communication skills, the range of Academic programmes offered at PACE equips each student with a passport to English-language success. Our General English immersion courses immerse students in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment, where a diverse nationality mix and integrated social programme mean that new friends are made easily and quickly. Our English Language Exam courses (with a particular focus on the Cambridge exam suite and IELTS) consistently demand high standards and deliver outstanding results. Our Intensive, One to One and Business English language options meet the needs of the most discerning learner.

Programmes Offered
General English
Our General English courses are designed to help students to meet their immersion English-language goals as quickly and thoroughly as possible. With a focus on real-world application of language skills, learners of all levels will benefit from small class sizes and a diverse nationality mix.
Intensive English
Our Intensive English option allows students to combine mornings in the General English course with two afternoon classes per week of more personalised instruction. Afternoon Intensive classes are usually of 6 students or fewer, allowing the teacher and student to focus more intensively on their particular needs.
English Language Exam Courses
Our English Language Exam Courses focus on FCE, CAE, IELTS and TIE and run regularly throughout the year and deliver a high standard of results. Minimum entry levels are required. For those learners who wish to have a first-hand experience of life in an Irish family, our Live and Learn programme offers a cost-efficient exchange of benefits whereby students provide help around the house in exchange for accommodation, meals and transport costs.
Junior English Language Summer School
For the summer months, our Junior English Language Summer School offers excellent immersion English tuition, a packed social schedule and memories for life for our Junior Learners. Throughout the year, our Short-Stay Group programme delivers dynamic communication-focussed classes using our in-house Junior Cultural Curriculum and exposes our school visitors to the best of local attractions and activities.

The accommodation needs of students in PACE are met by our dedicated Accommodation Team. We offer a range of accommodation options to best meet each student’s needs and requirements. Our experienced, friendly and welcoming host families are all well located in the local community and are regularly revisited for quality control. Our accommodation officer is available throughout each student’s stay to offer information, advice and support.

Bray is a popular seaside town with a population of over 30,000. Students can enjoy all the advantages of being part of an active and friendly local community and can avail of a wide range of amenities and services on their doorstep.
Bray is uniquely well-located for visitors. It is the gateway town for the beautiful County of Wicklow, which is known as the Garden of Ireland, while Dublin’s vibrant city centre is just a short trip away by bus or train. The town’s mile-long Promenade makes the most of the Irish Sea setting, while the celebrated Cliff Walk leads visitors south along a historic coastal path to the neighbouring fishing village of Greystones, renowned for its café culture and boutique shops. With stately homes such as Powerscourt House and Gardens and the Killruddery estate close at hand, there’s always the opportunity to stretch the legs and feast the eyes. And in the evenings the warm firesides and friendly atmosphere of Bray’s traditional bars offer the opportunity to mix with neighbours, enjoy a locally-brewed drink and relax to the sounds of the talented local music scene.
Exams
PACE has a proven-record of delivering outstanding results in English-language exams. Our Cambridge-suite exam options are delivered through 10-12 week dedicated exam courses. Using an intensive mix of language development, exam skills and mock exams, FCE and CAE students are comprehensively supported in meeting their exam objectives.
Our IELTS English language exam preparation runs throughout the year and is available at levels from Pre-Intermediate upwards, allowing language learners to produce an accurate reflection of their developing learning profile. Other exams such as TIE, TOIEC, TOEFL etc are available by request throughout the year.
