Les ateliers FL – IH Bordeaux

I didn’t regret it for a second! It was my first experience taking French classes in France, and it was perfect! Our teacher was very skilled, encouraging, and organized the lessons in a way that we never got bored for even a second. The topics were very interesting, and we always had something to say! The school is located in a very charming neighborhood of Bordeaux and is a great starting point for exploring the city — with lovely cafés, vintage shops, and of course, bakeries 🙂 This week helped me gain confidence in speaking and motivated me to work even harder on my French. Thank you so much!

A pleasant and very instructive week. I spent a week at Les Ateliers school, and both the classes and the accommodation were really interesting and enjoyable. I learned a lot, and I hope to take another course there to continue improving.

Les Ateliers was a great success for me for several reasons. I really enjoyed the surprise visit to the Bordeaux chocolate factory. There are other similar travel opportunities, and some of these trips come from student suggestions. It was a great place to learn, with lots of topic-based conversations between students or with teachers. In addition, they offered many simple ideas to improve your speaking and listening skills. We followed a set program as well as additional learning activities. During the week, I had a lot of practice and, overall, it was extremely helpful for improving my French skills. I made new friends and I absolutely recommend it to anyone studying French.
