IS Aix-en-Provence

Wonderful school! Beautiful facility, professional and friendly staff, extremely accommodating, immediate response to questions, lovely accomodations, private lessons perfectly suited to my needs and skill level. The school is a walkable distance from anywhere in the city. The school set up an excursion to several beautiful sites with a wonderful tour guide, at less than half the price of other companies offering excursions in the area. If you are above a skill level B, their cours particuliers are worth every penny. Highly recommend!

This institute offers a high-quality French as a foreign language education. The student groups are small, and the teachers are very attentive.

I highly recommend, the staff there is available and very kind to anyone, the classes I took were excellent and I made lots of friends over there!! Also, there’s a great activity programme which makes you engage more.

I took my first training leave in 2022 and chose the language school in Aix-En-Provence as my location. My choice was the right one! The situation in one of the most beautiful cities in Provence, the people, the food, the rosé are all reasons for tourists to love this place. For all those who wish to improve their knowledge of French, the IS language school is the ideal institute. The teachers and staff are super friendly and very professional. Their love for the language and the smile that welcomes you each day is an additional reason. I studied for 2 weeks, and the concept of participating in harder groups is fantastic. IS manages to get students with different language levels to work together. Thank you! It was a very educational period with you in beautiful Provence.

I am very pleased with my course, both the professors and the group dynamic was above my expectations. You can easily customize your stay and the school organize a lot of activities too if that is of interest.

Is Aix en Provence is organized to teach you as much of the French language as you are ready for. Teachers are excellent. Classes are composed of students with the same level of skills, and the teachers keep notes on each student, which are provided to the student each week. Teaching is done in French, by teachers who have had the experience of learning a new language themselves. If a student is having difficulty with any aspect of the information being taught, the instructors want to know so they can help you with it. The adult classes are generally small, 5-12 students, and are wonderfully populated with students of many different countries.

Open-minded, highly qualified, and humorous teachers who really listen to students’ needs. A great system with two different teachers over two weeks, followed by a change to new teachers. Groups are always kept separate, which is also excellent. I’ll be back!

We had two challenging and wonderful weeks at IS Aix-en-Provence. Perfect organization and excellent teachers. We’d be happy to come back.

The school is in a very comfortable, large house – bright and welcoming. The teachers are well trained and recognize that we adults learn differently from children. I found the morning classes really useful, with a great variety of activities and focus. I think I would not do the shorter afternoon class again (1.5 hours) because there is so much to see and do in and around Aix. Also, next time, I think I will replace the afternoon class with a few hours of private tutoring – also an option offered by IS.. And, yes I would love to come back.
