The General English Program (GEP) is 8 level system configured to Common European Framework from Beginner to Advanced, which averages 8 -12 weeks per level. It improves students’ ability to speak English in practical situations and the emphasis is placed on spoken reproduction of the language integrates all skill areas.
Business English Program (BEP) is designed for students aspiring to a career in international business, or for business people advancing an existing career. In the world of international business, English skills have become the key to global-communication.
Cambridge (FCE, CAE, CPE) are preparation and examination courses available up to 4 times per year, that focuses on 5 main skills covered in the exam:reading, writing, use of English (grammar), listening, and speaking. The Official examinations are held in the week after the program is completed on dates set by the University of Cambridge.
TOEFL and TOEIC are full or part time preparation programs that are a strong choice for students preparing for university entrance. Focus on main components such as writing, speaking, listening comprehension, reading, business-oriented vocabulary review, and grammar review
Teen Activity Program (TAP) is an excellent program that offers young teens a safe, diverse and challenging environment in which to grow and learn. This program combines focused morning classes with action-packed afternoon and weekend activities.
Cambridge Young Learners of English (YLE) is recommended for children aged 7-12. YLE allows children to work towards three Cambridge certificates – Starters, Movers, and Flyers. Exciting afternoon activities are optional.

Living in Homestay is an excellent way to learn about the local culture, practice the English you learn in class, and find a “home away from home”! Depending on the location, GV Accommodation also provides non-homestay services such as student residences, apartments, hostels and a variety of condominiums.
Honolulu, Hawaii is one of the safest cities in the U.S. The city is very multicultural and has some of the natural wonders of the world. The Global Village Hawaii school location is only minutes from Waikiki and other beautiful beaches. The city’s average annual temperature is 27°C. Global Village Hawaii is also right across the street from the world famous Ala Moana Shopping Center and within walking distance of the beach.
You can easily get around by car rental, shuttle, taxi or Oahu’s public bus system. Many visitors also enjoy taking bus tours to conveniently explore the Island. Others rent bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles. Popular attractions include, the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor, and Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve. Annual festivals are widely popular in as a Hawaiian experience which includes the Merrie Monarchy Hula, Honolulu Marathon, Chinese New Year Festival and weekly fireworks events.
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) General and Academic modules are offered monthly at Global Village Hawaii. IELTS is the world's most popular high-stakes English language proficiency test for study, work and migration with more than two million tests taken in the past year.
Global Village Hawaii administers Cambridge English exams in Proficiency (CPE), Advanced (CAE), First (FCE), Preliminary (PET) and Key (KET) for Schools and Young Learners (YLE) are offered at least three times per year. Cambridge English is recognised around the world by thousands of employers, universities and government ministries as proof of ability to use English.
The Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) is produced by ETS® (Educational Testing Service) is an institutional exam that is available to be administered monthly at Global Village Hawaii. TOEIC test questions are based on real-life work settings in an international environment (meetings, travel, telephone conversations, etc.).
Our Activities Coordinator takes great pride in organizing culturally enriching experiences that will demonstrate the uniqueness of Hawaii. Each month a new creative calendar is posted in-house, so you can see the full range and diversity that GV Hawaii has to offer.
While you are taking part in these carefully planned activities, you and your fellow students around the world will be able to practice your communication skills developed in the classrooms and have a great time, too. Some activities include beach barbeques, hikes, hula and ukulele lessons, skydiving, dolphin swim and shark cage diving and neighbour island trips every month.
