Langports uses a one-of-a-kind approach to teaching English in Australia through our UFO English program. This program is designed to meet the needs of individual students, based on that student’s skills, learning abilities, and learning objectives. The program is divided into three categories: Use (writing, reading, listening & speaking), Focus (courses designed to improve each student’s strengths and weaknesses) and Options courses, which gives students a chance to enrol in a course to help them achieve their learning objectives. Additionally, students can attend daily workshops designed to help them study.
There are seven levels for Langports students to complete, each level taking approximately 10 weeks. These courses run year round and students can start learning English any Monday that they choose (with the exception of public holidays). If enrolled in a UFO English program, students are able to switch schools at any time during their study.
The Langports EAP (English for Academic Purposes) program is designed for international students that are looking to take further studies in Australia. Students will be prepared for the IELTS exam, and may also have the opportunity to enrol in one of our 24 partnered colleges without sitting an IELTS exam.

Langports offers a number of fantastic accommodation options located near the Gold Coast campus. Students can choose from either a homestay option, or more traditional student accommodation such as apartments or houses. The Gold Coast campuses has an Accommodation Officer whose job is to help you find safe accommodation while studying.
Langports’ Gold Coast school can be found at the heart of Surfers Paradise. The Gold Coast school is a 5 minute walk from 70 kilometres of beach that is perfect for swimming, surfing, or sleeping in the sun. The school, which is just 250 metres from public transport, is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and shops. The tallest building in Gold Coast, Q1, which serves as an observation deck and restaurant, is just a short walk from the Langports’ building. Additionally, Gold Coast is one of Australia’s favourite holiday destinations. There are a number of amusement parks, boat tours, kayaking trips, rainforest walks, and wildlife sanctuaries to see. Most notably is the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, where visitors can get their photos taken with kangaroos, crocodiles, and even koalas. It’s a must see for anyone visiting the Gold Coast.
The public transportation system in Gold Coast is fantastic. There are a number of buses to help visitors navigate the city, in addition to the light rail system that stretches from one end of the city to the other. Travelling through the Gold Coast has never been easier.
The Gold Coast has an average of 300 days of sunshine per year, which makes any outdoor activity easy to plan. Whether you want to go surfing, whale watching, scuba diving, or sailing, the Gold Coast is the easiest place to do it. Students are able to rent surfboards from the campus, making it even easier to indulge in authentic Australian culture.
The Cambridge Exam is offered to students enrolled in either the Cambridge Closed Course or the Cambridge Flexi. Students enrolled in the Cambridge Closed Course must complete the exam, though students in the Flexi are not required to. The exam can be taken at the FCE, CAE, and CPE levels.
Langports students are able to write the TOEIC exam. This exam tests students on their grammar, vocabulary, collocation, reading, and listening skills. This test is used to determine a student’s English language competency in a business context, and is often used by companies to determine English communication skills.
The IELTS is not available to be taken through Langports, but there is an exam preparation program offered to students. This exam preparation program can be taken over 5 or 10 weeks and focuses on the written portion of the exam. Students can then enroll in the IELTS exam through the IELTS test centres on the Gold Coast.
