Worldwide School of English offers English language education for adult students at a great location in central Auckland.
We offer 7 levels of General English. Our classes have a maximum of 15 students. We also offer Business English classes as well as Cambridge FCE/CAE, IELTS and TOEIC Exam Preparation classes.
Our facilities include computers with FREE Internet access as well as free WiFi throughout our building and a large Library/Self Access Area with self-study material, computers with LMS online study and 1000's of books and magazines.
We also have a student lounge with a cafe serving food and drink and an outside deck with chairs and tables and a table tennis table.
Native language counsellors, academic counselling/placement for further study and airport pick-up are all provided services.
We arrange Homestays with New Zealand families and all of our families are carefully inspected and selected and we also offer apartment accommodation at central city apartments.
A full range of daily after school activities, social events and weekend trips are also organised through our activity and social programme.
Worldwide is famous for its international mixture of students. We have many students from Europe, Latin America, Asia, The Middle East and French Polynesia. We have more than 30 different nationalities studying at Worldwide School every year.

At Worldwide School we have our own Accommodation Manager and do not use an outside company to source families.

Each student receives their own folder to keep their lessons in and they must bring it to school every day. The folder will provide a record of all that they have learnt during their time at Worldwide School. All study materials in General English classes are provided free (some exam preparation classes have extra costs for study materials).
Helping our Students Become Better Learners: The Learning Centre and library at Worldwide School is a resource especially developed for our students to address their individual study goals and to work on their specific needs. Each student receives a Student Learning Passport on their first day at school and they work together with their teacher to develop an individualised study plan. The passport is used to record a student’s study goals and the work they do in the library. All morning classes have a scheduled one-hour session each week in the Learning Centre. During this time teachers monitor, offer help, recommend study materials and discuss study plans with their students. The Learning Centre has an excellent range of resources including EFL readers, DVDs, workbooks, listening practice, worksheets for grammar and vocabulary, exam practice materials and EFL magazines.
The weekly library session is also a time for students to meet with their teachers and discuss any learning difficulties they are experiencing, their progress and tests results, or any other matters relating to their lessons. Teachers can use the passport to record what is discussed during these student/teacher conference sessions. In addition to the scheduled library session, students are encouraged to use the library after class to work on their study plan. Worldwide Online is the school’s LMS (Learner Management System) and this has been especially designed for Worldwide School. Teachers and students have their own login and can access exercises, web links, an index of library readers and magazines, as well as information about school activities and messages from the office. The Worldwide Online can be accessed outside of school. All new students receive a welcome message explaining the Worldwide Online on their first day and an induction during their first library session. At Worldwide School students have different needs and learning styles. We believe strongly in helping all of our students become more autonomous in their learning and better learners. The Learning Centre, Student Learning Passport and Worldwide Online have been developed with this objective in mind.
