Apollo Wins at ST Awards Again

English language school Apollo Language Centre in Ireland is now the proud winner of eight Study Travel Star Awards!

Apollo is the first language school in Ireland to be inducted into the StudyTravel Super Star Hall of Fame after winning the ‘Star Junior Programme for under 18s’ award for five years in a row in 2018, 2019, 2020/2021, 2022 and again in 2023. They also won the ‘Star New School’ Award in 2019 as well as winning in the ‘English Language School – Europe’ category twice in 2022 and 2023. We spoke to Aoife Govern, Co-founder of Apollo to ask her about this tremendous achievement.

What does it mean to you and your school to win this award?

Winning two more Star Awards and being the first language school in Ireland to be inducted into the StudyTravel Super Star Hall of Fame this year is a remarkable achievement for Apollo. It's a moment of profound pride and humble gratitude for everyone associated with our school – from our dedicated teachers and staff to our loyal agents from around the world and the thousands of students who have walked through our doors.

These awards represent a recognition of our unwavering commitment to excellence in service & English language education. They affirm that our relentless pursuit of innovation, quality, and student-centric learning experiences has paid off. It's not just a reflection of our past efforts, but a testament to our ongoing dedication to providing the best language education possible.

How does this award reflect on your relationships that you have with your agents?

Our partnerships with agents around the world are built on trust, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to providing students with top-quality educational opportunities. Winning these awards reinforces the trust and confidence that our partner agents have placed in us.

Ultimately, these awards strengthen our relationships with our agents, as they can be assured that we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards in English language education and providing their students with an exceptional learning environment.  It bolsters the pride they take in recommending our institution to prospective students, knowing that they are guiding them toward an award-winning language school.

How has your membership in IALC impacted on your business so far?

We are new IALC members having joined earlier this year, but it has already been a transformative experience for Apollo. Being part of this global network of language schools has allowed us to connect with like-minded educators from around the world who share our passion for language learning and cultural exchange.

IALC membership has helped us to strengthen our commitment to international standards of quality and it has also opened doors to diverse markets and provided us with opportunities to showcase our unique programs to a wider audience.

In short, our involvement with IALC has enriched our school in ways that go beyond awards and accolades, shaping our institution into a truly international and globally recognised centre of language learning excellence.

Do you have anything new lined up for the coming year?

2023 has been a big year for Apollo!  It started with the year-round school in Dublin city centre having a full upgrade and renovation, joining IALC in March and launching our 4th Junior Summer Programme at the University of Limerick this Summer.

While our commitment to growth and innovation remains unwavering, our primary focus for the coming year is on sustaining and enhancing the exceptional product offerings that have made Apollo the school it is today. We believe that maintaining and continually improving the quality of our existing courses and activities is just as crucial as introducing new offerings.

Many Congratulations Apollo, may you continue to excel in your language teaching!
