Located in a traditional Georgian building in the centre of Edinburgh’s New Town, CES Edinburgh can be found at the heart of Scotland’s vibrant capital city. From the moment you take your initial English language placement test, our focus will be to ensure that you improve your english skills and develop a stronger and better use of this wonderful language. We offer a selection of General English, Intensive, Combination and Executive English programmes throughout the year. We also offer a wide selection of Professional and management One to One and Exam (IELTS and FCE) preparation courses.

Homestay accommodation allows you to have a full Scottish experience with native speakers and to pick up expressions and language in a natural environment. For more independent learners CES Edinburgh can also offer self-catering residential accommodation in the heart of the city which offers easy access to local amenities and activities. Our residential accommodation comes with a private ensuite bathroom and shared kitchen and living facilities.
The city of Edinburgh is divided into two main districts, each of which is designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Edinburgh’s Old Town – dating from the 16th century – grew up around the base of Edinburgh Castle and is where you can find Edinburgh University, Arthur’s Seat and the majority of residential buildings. If you start at Edinburgh Castle and walk down Edinburgh’s famous Royal Mile you will pass many traditional local shops and discover one of Edinburgh’s three cathedrals, the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Palace.
Crossing over Princes’ Street Gardens will take you into Edinburgh’s New Town – dating from the 18th century – where you will find many modern shops, office buildings and CES Edinburgh. The New Town bustles with energy and Princes’ Street is a world renowned shopping destination where high end fashion boutiques mingle with traditional shops, pubs and bars.
