In 2021 Wimbledon School of English welcomed students from over 70 different countries. “When you come to us, you will not only improve your English, but you’ll also make new friends from around the world. A very good way to open your mind and learn about different cultures”.

WSE is located in the heart of Wimbledon and is a family-run English language school, operating for over 50 years to adult students. Home to a large team of well-qualified teachers WSE are committed to helping its students achieve their language learning goals. With a range of courses from general English to IELTS academic express business & professional English.

Trip to Prince Edward Theatre

In the new year students form Wimbledon school of English have been up to some exciting things. Recently some students and staff visited the Prince Edward Theatre to watch the Mary Poppins musical filled with beautiful sets and costumes.

The Thunder Foundation

For five years and running The Thunder Foundation has been the official charity for WSE. Founded in 2012, the Thunder foundation is a small, family-run British charity, working everyday to provide young children the start in life they deserve. The Charity provides education, housing, food, healthcare, medication, sanitation, and support to children living in Kawangware, Nairobi – one of Africa’s largest slums. With over 800,000 people living in Kawangware, 60 % of this being children, it is one of the most populated slums in Nairobi. Here is a lovely photo of Rufus and his boarding schoolmates together.
