Torquay International School home to IALC training and new team member joins English language school

As part of IALC’s continuing programme of reviewing its Quality Assurance scheme, Jane Panahy (one of IALC’s most experienced inspectors) spent two days in IALC-accredited Torquay International School to train two new inspectors, Cathy Morand and Jackie Watson.

The training of new inspectors for IALC is part of a review and expansion of the IALC Quality Assurance scheme and Kevin McNally, IALC Vice President for Quality Assurance and Owner and Director for Torquay International School said:

“It was a very successful two days, and Cathy and Jackie will soon be undertaking their first audits for the Association. IALC has the stated aim of making our Quality Assurance scheme the most relevant to agents in the industry. There is a need for new anglophone inspectors based in Europe, and Cathy and Jackie bring years of experience to the post. Jane Panahy, who has many years’ experience of inspecting for IALC and the British Council will also be providing invaluable input into our new Scheme B audit.”

In addition to this TIS has welcomed its newest team member Bruno Feijo this month, who will be attending ALPHE London 2019 and later in September will be visiting clients in Saudi Arabia.

TIS is also now welcoming its first autumn Italian high school groups. The group arriving next week, from Naples, will be staying with local host families and following a project on Sustainable Fashion and the school looks forward to welcoming them.
