Quality Language Schools Worldwide

The Liden & Denz Russian language school recently commemorated 15 years of operation in Russia with a gala evening in St. Petersburg.

Over 160 guests gathered at the Rocco Forte's Astoria Hotel, among them members of the diplomatic community, city officials, press and TV and corporate world, as well as Liden & Denz students, teachers and staff from both schools.

The party was opened by one of the company founders and its current managing director, Walter Denz, who looked back over 15 years with a presentation of interesting and amusing pictures from the school's archive.

Earlier in the day a press conference took place on a new joint for a Swiss Hospitality Academy in St.Petersburg, which is scheduled to open in September 2008. This theme was continued in the evening with a keynote speech by the Swiss Consul General, Mr. Urs Strausak, who reminded the audience of the long tradition of Swiss nationals going abroad to set up educational institutions.

The master of ceremonies for the gala was once again Stas Sokolov, who was joined for a special award ceremony by Yana Alyoshina, centre director of the Liden & Denz Russian language school in St.Petersburg. A fantastic buffet dinner was prepared by the Astoria's executive chef, Colin Flood, drinks flowed freely and everyone had a great time.
