Kingsway English Centre’s Christmas Programme 2019

IALC-accredited English language school, Kingsway English Centre are offering students an exclusive  add-on Christmas social programme.

Every year, for one night in December, the Directors of Kingsway English Centre, Rick and Sue Johns open their home to students who want to experience a traditional English Christmas dinner.

This is a unique occasion and very different from that provided in hotels or restaurants as it takes place in an intimate, warm and welcoming family environment.

Transport is provided and guests are welcomed with a glass of champagne (or other drink if preferred) and a range of canapes including smoked salmon. The dinner comprises all the traditional elements: roast turkey, roast potatoes, stuffing and a wide range of vegetables followed by Christmas pudding and/or Old English trifle and mince pies.

Students are introduced to “pulling crackers” amongst other traditions.

Rick and Sue have a spacious and beautiful home but have to limit numbers to 20 as that is the maximum Sue can cook for and seat in comfort.

Also included in the pre-Christmas week is an evening visit to Birmingham’s Christmas market and a Saturday trip to the beautiful Cotswold villages. Kingsway’s special Christmas week can be added to any course.
