IALC welcomed six new members in February 2016, bringing global membership to 158 language centres worldwide.
All six centres were independently inspected as part of the demanding IALC application process, which looks for excellent academic standards, outstanding all-round customer service and a passion for language teaching and international communication.
Joining in Australia is Inforum Education Australia, an English language college in Gold Coast, Queensland, owned and managed by Simon and Jun Craft. Inforum offers General English and a range of examination courses plus lots of activities, all within easy reach of Gold Coast’s famous beaches.
The two new members in Malta are BELS and Easy School of Languages.
BELS is run by owner Rebecca Bonnici and has English centres in Gozo and St Paul’s Bay, each with its own distinct style. Courses include general and business English and teen camps with plenty of cultural and outdoor activities.
Easy School of Languages, run by Karl and Alexander Farrugia, recently moved to brand new premises in the historic Maltese capital, Valletta, where it offers general, examination and special courses in groups of maximum eight students.
Ifalpes offers French studies in the picturesque town of Annecy in southwest France. Virginia Vias runs this centre, which has a popular French and ski programme as well as examination courses, general French classes and French with business or tourism studies.
Collegium Palatinum has been running high-quality German language programmes in historic Heidelberg since 1958. Its director Ute Gleich oversees a wide course range from general German to business and medical German and preparation for academic study in Germany.
Meet all new IALC-accredited languages schools at the IALC Workshop in Leeds & York, 7-10 April 2016.
Resignation: Bournemouth Business School International (BBSI)
In January 2016, BBSI became a division of MLS International College in Bournemouth. Although the courses of BBSI continue within MLS, the merger of BBSI and MLS falls outside of IALC membership criteria, and as a result, BBSI’s membership of IALC ceased with the merger.
