Hilderstone 100 Challenge

Friday March 19th marked Comic Relief Red Nose Day in the UK. On this day, the whole nation pulled together to raise awareness of the charity and in the spirit of the event, IALC Language School Hilderstone College in Broadstairs, UK concluded its Hilderstone 100 Challenge!

From 1 - 19 March our aim was to complete 100km by walking/running/cycling/swimming/skating/dancing, from different locations around the world, using our network of students, representatives, hosts, staff, family and friends.  Everyone was asked to each complete a minimum of 1km for us to add to our global total.  Many people did more than 1km, which helped us to smash our target by completing a global total of 336 kilometres.

We asked for photos which we could share online, and friends from over 30 countries and every continent (except Antartica), participated.

We had a fantastic response and the challenge was a huge success.  Hilderstone College has made a donation to Comic Relief based on the number of kilometres completed.  After a difficult year, we very much enjoyed involving the Hilderstone community, here and abroad, in the Hilderstone 100 Challenge!  A huge thank you to all who participated.
