IALC has elected Giorgia Biccelli, director of Linguaviva in Italy as its new president. Ms Biccelli, who previously served as vice president for quality assurance, leads an international board of directors drawn from IALC member schools.

Ms Biccelli, reflecting upon being named president of IALC said: “IALC is a unique association and I feel extremely honoured and privileged to be named its President. The association has given so much to us over the years and now it is time to give something back.”

Newly elected to the IALC executive board is Kevin McNally, managing director of Torquay International School. Mr McNally succeeds Ms Biccelli as head of quality assurance.

Mr McNally said: “I’ve been involved with IALC since the late 90s and I think it’s one of the most important schools associations in the industry. I think it’s unique because of the international aspect and the fact that every single member shares a passion for individual service and quality, and so for me, becoming vice-president for quality assurance is an honour”.

Completing the IALC board is Florian Meierhofer of BWS Germanlingua in Germany as vice-president for membership, Robin Adams of Global Village English Centres as vice-president for marketing and Stefan Adenet-Kaven, director of ILA - Institut Linguistique Adenet, as secretary/treasurer of the independent language schools’ association.
