You can experience living at home with a Spanish family with a range of board options, or independent living with the opportunity to make Spanish and international friends in shared apartment, or a student Residence with a range of board options. Our school also offers the option of renting a private apartment if you are coming alone, with your family, partner or even friends.
San Sebastian, or Donostia in Basque language, has a population of 186,000 inhabitants, almost 16.000 are University students. It is a very safe city with a unique history. The population speaks perfect Spanish while 25% also speak Basque. In 2016 it was selected as European capital of culture, it is famous for film and jazz festivals and its incredible gastronomy.
City, sea and mountains. With 3 beaches, it is very green and friendly city with amazing nature only 20km to France. San Sebastián is a perfect destination for sportsmen, you can surf at the Zurriola beach, you can run all 3 beaches which is a 6km path with no roads or traffic lights. You can hike, you can start walking from the city and go up to Igeldo, Urgull, Ulía or hike the nearby mountains, and then there are also traditional sports like Jai Alai or rowing.
The most recognisable city snapshot features the beaches of Ondarreta and the Concha. La Concha belongs to the best city beaches around the whole world. The city’s third beach, the Zurriola is famous worldwide for its excellent surfing.
Choose our Intensive 20 course with dedicated preparation lessons in the afternoons to get prepared for the Instituto Cervantes’ DELE exam. The exam takes place several times per year in our school. As an official Instituto Cervantes Exam Center, you can take the B1, B2 or C1 DELE.
