Six IALC schools took top honours in September at the 2009 Language Travel Magazine LTM Star Awards in London, while IALC was voted Star School Association.
Study travel agents worldwide voted French in Normandy (Rouen), Linguaviva (Florence/Milan), Malaca Instituto (Malaga), English Language Company (Sydney), Liden and Denz (Moscow/St Petersburg) and Mandarin House (Beijing/Shanghai) as the star language schools in their language categories. Later, IALC was announced as LTM Star School Association for the third time.
Altogether, eighteen IALC schools were shortlisted in the annual study travel awards organised by Hothouse Media. The other IALC nominees were: Tamwood International College (Vancouver/Whistler), Langports (Brisbane,/Gold Coast), KAI (Tokyo), BWS Germanlingua (Munich/Berlin), GLS (Berlin), Academia Columbus (Quito/Playa del Carmen/San Jose), Escuela Nerja (Nerja), Good Hope Studies (Cape Town), France Langue (Paris/Nice), ILA (Montpellier and BEET Language Centre (Bournemouth).
"It is simply fantastic to have seven winners and so many IALC schools on the 2009 shortlist. We thank the many study travel agencies who voted for us across the world," said Walter Denz, IALC President and managing director of Liden and Denz.
