Langports English Language School in Brisbane has issued the following statement on the recent flooding in Queensland, Australia.

At Langports English Language College in Brisbane, school has returned to normal after closing during the floods last week. The Langports Brisbane campus was unaffected by the floodwaters and was re-opened on Friday 14th January with 75% of students attending classes. On Monday, Brisbane’s public transport returned to a more regular service and allowed all students to attend classes.

Whilst the floods in Brisbane have impacted many people’s lives, an estimated 90% of Brisbane was unaffected by the floods. The Brisbane International Airport as also remained open during the whole flood situation allowing travellers in and out of Brisbane. Students should not be worried about studying in Brisbane, it is a vibrant young city which offers students fantastic opportunities to live and study. Today in a press-release, the Minister for Trade, Stephen Robertson stated “Queensland is a world-class education and training destination for international students and our institutions continue to offer state-of-the-art, innovative and industry driven courses.”
