Quality Language Schools Worldwide

Learning about the culture is an essential part of mastering any language. KAI Japanese Language School in Tokyo organises regular events and activities for its international students to experience Japanese culture. In November 2005, the cultural programme included a trip to a sake distillery with sake tasting, Japanese flower arranging and soba-kneading. Soba noodles are long, thin noodles made from buckwheat and wheat flour, popular in Japanese cooking. The soba-kneading session proved particularly popular, as the participants learned how to make soba from a famous master and took home the soba they had made. In their efforts to make good soba, all the participants showed a seriousness beyond that achieved in their Japanese language lessons, leading KAI to conclude that soba is not only diet-friendly and health-sustaining, but great for the concentration too!
