The Oxford Fun Run attracted a high turnout of IALC schools in May 2014.

11 IALC schools participated in the annual charity event in Oxford on 10 May. Runners included students and staff from: BEET, The English Language Centre Bristol, Cambridge Academy of English, all five CES schools, English in Chester, Studio Cambridge and Wimbledon School of English.

The overall winner was from CES Dublin, the leading international student from BEET. BEET also won the Hothouse Media Best Team Fancy Dress trophy.

And it was Wimbledon School of English students Antonio Carella, Christoph Meier, Samir Jendoubi and Cedrid Werder who won the IALC trophy. The 20-year old Swiss students have been described as “model students, their teachers are pleased with their progress and predict that they will pass their exams with top grades!” They are currently very busy preparing for both the CAE and the BEC Higher exams, but they still found time to practise for the Fun Run with the school running club.

The annual Oxford Fun Run is great day out for English language students, combining sport and friendly rivalry with fund-raising and a wonderful post-race barbecue.
