Young Leader & Young Learner International Virtual Programmes at Emerald Cultural Institute

Following the success of their Junior Summer Virtual Programmes and requests from our partners and students, English langugage school Emerald Cultural Institute in Dublin, Ireland is launching a range of term-time courses for teens in autumn 2020.

Our Young Leader and Young Learner programmes are enrolling now and will start on 5th October, running for 8 weeks.

Young Leader and Young Learner International Virtual Programmes:

Suitable for students aged 10-14 (Young Learners) and 14-17 (Young Leaders), we are offering a unique opportunity to join an international virtual programme from the comfort of home.

This course is ideal for students looking to complement their in-school English language lessons with experienced teachers.

· Expert online tutors

· international classes

· level and age-specific lessons

· access to our unique, custom built Emerald Learn platform to engage with other students in forums and write class blogs in English.

The carefully guided language lessons, real-world stories and TED talks will motivate Young Leaders to think creatively and communicate effectively. Learners will be encouraged to develop an open mind, a critical eye and a clear voice in English. They will stage presentations, conduct interviews and perform “real-world” tasks through role-play activities.

Young Learners will join a topic-based programme, which will provide them with the possibility to consolidate their learning outside of the virtual classroom.

Trinity Walton Club STEM Programme:

Students with a C1 level of English or higher can join the Trinity Walton Club (Trinity College Dublin), starting 17th October until 12th December. Students will join with Irish students for two hours per week on a Saturday for a virtual STEM programme, learning topics such as Artificial Intelligence and Coding. Open to students aged 13-17, throughout the programme they will develop key skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, research skills and communication.

Pathway to STEM:

Students with a passion and curiosity for science can also avail of an exclusive opportunity to attend the first term of the Young Leader/Learner programmes (5th October – 4th December) to improve their English level and join the Trinity Walton Club in Term 2, starting 16th January 2021 (minimum C1 level required).
