In May 2015, GenkiJACS moved to a six floor building in central Fukuoka. The move took place during Golden Week holiday in order to minimise the impact on students currently studying Japanese at the school.

According to the Japanese tradition, business partners and host families offered a profusion of flowers and plants upon the school's move. This helped to "create a lovely image for the new school, to greet new students on the first day of classes, " said school Marketing Director, Evan Kirby.

The new address is only a few minute's walk from Hakata Station (the largest train station in Southern Japan).

This expansion enables the school to gain more spacious classrooms, and to provide better facilities and services for students. The new building enables the school to double its capacity, with administrative offices now based on site, 14 classroom, and the entire first floor now used as a student lounge.

"We have lots of new plans for the future, and this new building will help us accomplish them," explains Evan Kirby. "The purchase of the building will allow the school to apply for national accreditation, which would enable it to receive student visa students on programmes longer than six months."
