A group from some of IALC's English and German language schools travelled to Brazil in October to meet study travel agents in Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre and Sao Paulo. The trip was organized with the assistance of the Brazilian Educational and Language Travel Association (BELTA) and was designed to bring the schools and agents together to discuss cooperation in international education and the importance of working with accredited partners.
Participating Schools Were:
- English Language Centre, Brighton & Hove
- Frances King School of English, London
- Globe English Centre, Exeter
- Language Specialists International, Portsmouth
- London School of English, London
- Melton College, York
- Rennert Bilingual, New York & Miami
- BWS Germanlingua, Munich & Berlin
- GLS Sprachenzentrum, Berlin
Prof. Eduardo Rosa of EDUcation Abroad - Intercambio Cultural in Sao Paulo welcomed the opportunity to make face-to-face contact with IALC schools: “I would like to congratulate the event in Brazil. Good schools, excellent explanations from great people, very organized and a delicious lunch!”
The language school staff were equally impressed with the professionalism of the Brazilian language travel agents they met on the trip.
“I am optimistic that we will increase our Brazilian numbers as a direct result of the meetings I had,” said Peter Tamkin of ELC Brighton.
“The quality of the agents we met was very good,” confirmed Florian Meierhofer, director of the BWS Germanlingua schools in Munich and Berlin.
