Two of the four IALC language schools that won 2012 Study Travel Magazine Star Awards in London in September have become STM Superstars. Star World Language School winner Liden and Denz (Russia) and Star French Language School winner French in Normandy (France) are now part of an elite group in the study travel industry to win their category five times.
Voted for by industry colleagues, each category can be won a maximum of five times by the same organisation, which then becomes a lifelong STM Superstar.
Speaking from Rouen, Eleri Maitland said: “French in Normandy was thrilled to have been awarded the STM Star for the 5th consecutive year. Tom, Eleri, Kangming, Malika and Veronique and all the teaching team would like to thank everyone who voted for us. We will continue to do our utmost to ensure that our students have the best possible French language learning experience. Merci!”
Star Spanish Language School Malaca Instituto (Spain) and Star Southern Hemisphere English Language School English Language Company Sydney (Australia) each earned their fourth STM title in 2012, making them potential 2013 Superstars.
A total of 24 IALC schools were shortlisted at the annual awards organised by Hothouse Media and IALC received a seventh consecutive nomination for Star School Association category, having won in 2006, 2008 and 2009.
