Quality Language Schools Worldwide

German language teachers wanting to brush up their German and pedagogical skills in Vienna in 2009 can still apply for a European Union Comenius grant, provided they submit their application by 20 February 2009.

The Actilingua Academy in Vienna runs two specialist German teachers' courses - one on fixed dates and the other starting every Monday. The Lingua/Comenius EU project awards grants towards the costs of the course, accommodation and journey to Vienna to participants from EU member states and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey. Applications must be sent to a Comenius office in the applicant's home country before 20 February 2009. Information about Comenius grants (Reference-Nr.: AT-2009-198-004) can be found on the link below.

Actilingua's special training courses for non-native teachers of German provide participants with an opportunity to update their language skills and exchange their experience of a variety of teaching methods with international colleagues, as well as the teaching staff of the German language school itself. Up-to-date information on Austrian and German language, culture and literature form part of the programme, and there are plenty of suggestions and new ideas to put into practice on the participant's return home.
