The BLS French language school in Bordeaux celebrates wine month in September, as grape-picking gets underway in the world famous vineyards across the region. During September, the French language courses at BLS are combined with a series of lectures and outings, through which students will discover and appreciate French culture and gastronomy. In the introduction to wine-tasting by a wine professional, students learn how to describe correctly and in simple terms the key wines of the Bordeaux area. Other highlights include a guided tour of a wine chateau and lunch at a theatre and modern art gallery. The city of Bordeaux was recently added to the Unesco World Heritage list and the region itself has some of the oldest fine wine vineyards in the world.
