Teen Winter Adventures programme in Miami

Students can now spend their winter break studying by the beach as Rennert International launches its new Teen Winter Adventures Programme in Florida. The course will be run at Rennert Miami South Beach. The school is located on fashionable Lincoln Road, just five minutes from the beach.

The program runs from 30 December 2015 to 23 January 2016 and includes 20 lessons per week: 10 General English classes and 10 English elective classes. Electives cover a wide range of topics, including Miami Culture, Florida Ecosystems and American Sports.

"The thing that's unique about this program is that it's three weeks of tailored activities. So when they're learning about Florida ecosystems, then in the afternoon they're going out and doing themed activities [related] to ecosystems," says Lauren Ringdahl, Teen Programs Manager. "Everything is woven together."

Calendar activities include trips to the Everglades and Miami museums, walking tours, baseball games, kayaking, snorkeling, and much more.

Student accommodation is also conveniently located: Hostelling International's Miami Beach facility is positioned both close to the beach and to Rennert Miami. The newly renovated building features spacious shared rooms with en-suite bathroom, 24-hour front desk staff, free WiFi, storage lockers and communal kitchen. The programme includes 19 meals per week.

"We are very excited to be expanding our Teen programs in Miami, as our New York City location has been successfully pioneering the Winter Adventures program for the last five years," says Lavya Yalamanchi, Multi-Media Marketing Coordinator with Rennert. "We look forward to welcoming our first Winter Adventures Miami students this upcoming December!"
