The Oxford English Centre has helped to raise over £14,000 for local charities in the May 2011 Oxford Fun Run. Despite some bad weather in the morning, around 350 runners completed the five-kilometre course. The overall winner was Ben Allcock, running for the Oxfordshire Association of the Blind, while the IALC Trophy went to the Oxford English Centre team (three of which are pictured). The “Crayolas” won the Team Fancy Dress prize sponsored by Study Travel Magazine.

All participants were rewarded with refreshments and a traditional sausage barbecue provided by the Oxford English Centre. The official race charity, Pathway Workshop, provides employment and training for disabled adults who find it difficult to obtain productive employment.
