Oxford English Centre will celebrate �25 years of Oxford English� with an anniversary party for current and past students, staff, business colleagues and special guests on November 5, 2004.

Invitations will be issued shortly to guests from the university and city of Oxford, together with agents, friends and former students from around the world. Former students will find more information and can request an invitation on www.oxfordenglish.co.uk

The formal ceremony will be addressed by the Master of Pembroke College. It will be followed by a party with a steel band and barbecue in a marquee in the gardens.

The school principal Dr Graham Simpson started what became the Oxford English Centre in 1979. He studied social sciences and trained as a teacher at the University of Leicester before moving to Oxford University for his doctorate.
