From October 2012, IALC welcomes two outstanding independent language schools as new members: Centre of English Studies (CES) and Piccola Università Italiana.
Piccola Universita is located in Tropea, in the region of Calabria in Southern Italy. The town is a famous bathing place, situated on a reef in the gulf of St. Euphemia, connected with the mainland by a narrow strip in the Tyrrhenian Sea. The boutique language school occupies a historic building and offers general and specialised Italian courses and activities.
Simone Rainer of Piccola Universita says: “The Piccola Università Italiana – Tropea is honoured and also excited about the admission to IALC. We went through a comprehensive application process which included also a detailed inspection. The infrastructure of the school was thoroughly checked and teachers and staff were assessed by a very professional inspector.
I believe in quality and customer satisfaction so it proved to me that it was definitely the right decision to join IALC. We are looking forward to be able to benefit from the network and we are delighted to be able to contribute to the association of leading language schools worldwide.”
Piccola Universita Italiana will open a second centre in Trieste in early 2013.
CES is a well-known English language school in central Dublin, run by Justin, Jonathan and Michael Quinn, whose parents founded the school 33 years ago. In recent years, CES has added centres in the UK in Worthing, Wimbledon and Wheatley (formerly Oxford House School of English), and is currently refurbishing its new English language school in Leeds in preparation for IALC inspection.
Justin Quinn says: "CES is delighted to be joining IALC. It has always been an aspiration of mine to be part of this great organisation with so many great schools and people."
IALC is an association of independent language schools, ranging from single centres to small family-owned chains. Our latest members demonstrate the range perfectly.
Full school profiles will be added to this website by the end of September 2012.
