Mandarin House appeals for support after Sichuan Earthquake

The International Association of Language Centres has a new Executive Board after elections at its 2008 AGM in April.

Voted in as new President is Walter Denz, Director of Liden & Denz Language Centres, who previously held the position of Vice President - Promotion. Alexandra Borges de Sousa (CIAL Centro de Linguas) was re-elected as Vice President - Membership and Rebecca Brincat (BELS Ltd) also starts a second term in the role of Secretary/Treasurer. Joining the IALC Executive Board from April 2008 are Wolfgang Graser (Good Hope Studies) as Vice President - Promotion and Judith Hands (Torquay International School), who is elected Vice President - Quality Assurance.

The IALC Executive Board consists of five directors elected from and by the member schools and an executive director, who is based at the association's office in Canterbury, England. The Executive Board manages the association.

Elections also took place in April for the IALC Regional Directors. Angus Tuck (SACE) and Giorgia Biccelli (Linguadue) were re-elected as Regional Director for Asia Africa Pacific and Europe respectively. Matt Collingwood (Tamwood International College) was newly elected to the position of Regional Director - Americas.
